
Marzena Lilian Szlaga, born in Poland, completed her
bachelor's and master's degree in both piano performance and
piano pedagogy in Wroclaw University School of Music.
She continued her piano studies in Chicago Musical College
of Roosevelt University, where she earned her Master of
Music degree in 1995. She soloed with several polish
symphonic orchestras, performed in Europe and U.S. as an
accompanist, soloist and chamber musician. Years 1994-95 she
auditioned to prestigious Civic Symphonic Orchestra of
Chicago. In 1995 she appeared in chamber music program at
the Chicago Orchestra Hall. Her performances with polish
orchestras and Civic were transmitted on the radio.
Her teaching experience include private instructions in
Wroclaw, piano and theory at Wroclaw Conservatory, Beverly
Art Center School of the Arts in Chicago, private
instructions in Chicago and now -Seattle where she has built
successful piano studio. Her current piano studio consists
of 44 students of all ages and levels. Students are
encouraged to perform in bi-yearly recitals in various
Eastside venues. In addition advanced students have the
opportunity to perform all Chopin music in concert held once
a year in Polish Home Auditorium in Seattle.
